Terms & Conditions
The rules that govern your use of AgradeHomeTuition. Effective August 29, 2026.
Who can create an account?
Parents/guardians seeking tutors, and teachers aged 18 and over seeking tuition assignments.
Can a banned account rejoin?
No. Accounts previously banned or suspended from the platform are not eligible to create a new account or rejoin.
What am I responsible for on my account?
Providing accurate profile and request information, keeping login credentials secure, and any activity carried out under your account.
How are tuition requests published?
Every parent request is reviewed by an admin before being published live to teachers — unreviewed requests are never shown.
How is a teacher assigned?
Strictly first-come, first-served (FIFO). The first teacher to successfully apply is assigned, and the listing closes to further applications immediately.
Can I game the FIFO system?
No. Using bots, scripts, or collusion to gain an unfair application advantage is a violation of these Terms.
What do teachers owe once assigned?
A one-time platform fee of 30% of the first month's agreed salary, payable to confirm the engagement.
Does AgradeHomeTuition manage ongoing salary?
No — beyond the platform fee, salary is a private arrangement directly between parent and teacher; full detail is in the Payment Policy.
Can I arrange things privately to skip the platform fee?
No. Entering a private arrangement with a parent/client introduced through the platform, to bypass commission or service charges, violates these Terms and may lead to suspension or a ban.
What if I file a false or exaggerated refund claim?
- Immediate and permanent ban from the platform
- Forfeiture of the platform fee with no right of appeal
- Possible legal action where applicable
What about false or malicious complaints from parents?
Parents agree not to make false or malicious complaints to manipulate the refund system. Baseless or repeated vexatious complaints may result in restricted platform access.
Is AgradeHomeTuition responsible for what happens during tuition sessions?
No. We act only as a facilitator/neutral matching platform. Disputes arising directly between a parent and teacher are between those two parties — not the platform.
What's the cap on your liability?
Total liability for any dispute is capped at the platform fee paid for that specific transaction.
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Nepal, including the Labour Act 2074 (2017). In case of conflict, the full Privacy Policy, Payment Policy, and these Terms & Conditions govern.
